Car history: |
05/25/2014 1970 Corvette with 6-71 Blower
I'm selling my 1970 Corvette. I bought this car in 1984 and its had quite a life over the last 30 years. The car was stock when I bought it and I just drove it for the first six months or so. Then the fun started, I took the next year and a half and turned it into an indoor show car. The car was entered in many ISCA (International Show Car Association) shows and it always placed first or second in its class. The car has also been featured in Chevy High Performance and Super Chevy magazines. After a few years of indoor events I really missed driving the Corvette so I started entering it in Street Machine shows and other outdoor car events. That gave me the opportunity to drive and have fun with the car. Over the last 10 years I got the most enjoyment out of the car by going to the local cruise night/car shows and taking it out for rides by the beach and cruising around town.
So as you see, this car has been driven and enjoyed over the last 30 years. It's a survivor of a different sort. It has not been sitting in a garage for the last 20 or 30 years covered with stuff and just now brought out to be resurrected. This car is a survivor from the 1980s when engines were big, loud, and sticking through the hood. Cars had Pro-Street or 60 series tires with white letters on them and heavy metal rock music jammin through their stereo systems. Yea, maybe I miss that a little but no matter what, the cars from that era are cool and this car is definitely one of them.
Remember, I'm not a salesman trying to sell you a car that belongs to someone else; I have been personally involved and contributed in every aspect of building this car. I seriously think that I could answer any questions that you have about this car, at least any question that has to do with the last 30 years of its history.
There are some minor paint blemishes and some paint chips on the wheels, aluminum in engine compartment has oxidation on it, Grip on Steering wheel has some wear on it, Vent on gas tank needs replaced. (I have the part and it is included in the sale of the vehicle).
If you are looking for something that is fun to drive, has plenty of power for the street, and turns heads wherever it goes. then this is the car for you! |
